When to use an A/C?
A/Cs are typically required for cities that experience temperatures above 25° Centigrade (75° Fahrenheit). In many cities the use of an A/Cs are required only in the summer months.
The optimum cooling temperature for an A/C is 23.4° Centigrade, though most A/Cs offer a range from 18°C up to 30 ° C.
What are the minimum requirements to install an A/C?
An A/C is always installed part indoor and part outdoor. The indoor part, depending on the type of A/C, would either require a window or a wall to mount the A/C unit on. In case of a Split A/C a mounting place outdoors is also required for the compressor unit. An A/C uses a 5 AMP socket (also used to connect geysers & refrigerators). A plug point nearest to the A/C indoor unit would reduce the length of the wire.
How much does an A/C cost to operate?

Different Types of Air Conditioners (A/Cs)
Air Conditioners come in 3 primary types for your home
- Window A/C
This is single A/C Unit with Compressor and Condenser. It is mounted on a Window frame. Therefore no necessity to make a hole in the wall. Price is the lowest therefore economical. This type of a/c features auto temperature control and maintains selected temperature in room.
- Split A/C
Evaporator (inside) and Compressor (Outside). Installation requires a hole to be drilled through the wall. Can control moisture and humidity levels. Custom temperature controls including “Sleep Mode”. The sleep mode increases the thermostat temperature by 10 after every hour till it increases temperature by 20.
- Inverter Split A/C
Inverter split A/Cs ensures substantial savings due less consuming of electricity. Are feature loaded, with Sleep Mode, de-humidifiers & Auto Se-start function etc included. Outdoor unit weighs half the amount of a conventional Split A/C.
- Cube A/C
Cube A/C is a split A/C with larger (cube) sized internal unit. Installation requires a hole to be drilled through the roof. Features custom temperature controls, thermostat and other features similar to split A/C.
